GMRS
WPZU781

(General Mobile Radio Service)
GMRS is similar to Citizens Band (CB) Radio and Family Radio Service (FRS), however, it requires an FCC license.
Legally, FRS and CB communications operate at a low power and as such have a limited range (3 -10 miles). GMRS is allowed to operate at a higher power and has potential access to repeaters giving it a much longer range.
